A Week of Giving

During the week of November 7-11 our students will participate in "A Week of Giving Locally and Globally." The students will have an opportunity to pack boxes for Operation Christmas Child through Samaritan's Purse. From seniors to preschoolers, we will pack shoebox gifts to bless children in need around the world.

When purchasing items please keep the ages of the recipient in mind. Each class will receive 2 boxes to pack.
  • K3-2 grade will adopt 2-4 year olds male and female
  • 3-4 grade will adopt 5-9 year olds male and female
  • 5-6 grade will adopt 10-14 year old male and female
  • 7-12 grade will adopt 10-14 year old male and female

In addition, we will collect non-perishable foods for Thanksgiving baskets to be delivered to our local food banks.

  • Food will be collected each day during morning and afternoon carpool by WCA organizations
  • Food will be gathered in the library and organized into categories
  • Teachers will be praying with their class and making cards with scripture
  • Monday November 14th, each class will rotate through the library to pack a box providing a Thanksgiving meal for a family

This "Week of Giving Locally and Globally" will allow us to teach our students about generosity and how we can be the hands and feet of Jesus in providing for those less fortunate than ourselves. We ask that you pray with your family for the individuals that we will bless. If you feel led, please donate some of the items listed on the graphics above. On Friday, November 11, we will allow each class to personally pack a few boxes so that they may feel a sense of ownership over their good deeds. Thank you for allowing your child and family to be a part of something much larger than ourselves.
