SPIRITUAL EMPHASIS WEEK - SESSION V
Featured
Mr. Gladding spoke on 2nd Corinthians 12:1-10, which says "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me..." Mr. Gladding revealed rejoicing in all things should, therefore, be a rejoicing in the cross where all blessings were purchased for us at the cost of the death of Jesus Christ.

The students also enjoyed Community time where they were able to eat BBQ hamburgers, read notes from classmates in their Be A Real Friend bags, played games and fellowshipped with one another. WCA would like to thank Mr. Gladding for sharing his knowledge and heart with our students last week. -

The HOPE of the resurrection gives us HOPE for the future!
Featured
Coach Coon delivered the Easter message to the upper school students at chapel on Monday, April 3rd. His message was about HOPE. He referred to the scripture in 1st Peter 1:3-9. "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls."

JOY TO THE WORLD!
The Elementary Christmas chapel on the Opelousas campus took place this morning in the WCA Field House. Our teachers each took a symbol from Christmas and showed the students how that symbol points back to Jesus' birth. The Elementary Choir and 4th-grade students blessed us with Christmas carols.
