MIDDLE SCHOOL TRACK

Track practices will be on Wednesdays (3:30-4:30pm) and Fridays (1:30-3:00pm) until the end of the season. The track season ends April 1st. Track meets will be held on Saturdays at Northside High School in Lafayette (12:00 noon - 3:00pm).

RAGIN CAJUN FOOTBALL

Opelousas, LA -Ken Jones, III signed to play football in the fall for UL-Lafayette. Jones is a 5-1A Defensive MVP, 1st Team All Parish, 1st Team All-Acadiana linebacker, and an athlete that displays spiritual maturity and leads on and off the field. UL-Lafayette is a Division I school located in the heart of Lafayette, Louisiana. Ken hopes to make a contribution as a linebacker next year for the Ragin Cajuns while majoring in kinesiology.

CAMPBELL UNIVERSITY CAMEL

Opelousas, LA - Joshua Hughes signed to play soccer in the fall for Campbell University. Hughes is currently on the WCA soccer team and is a decorated soccer player with multiple All-District, All-State, All-Parish, and All-Acadiana awards. Josh was also 2016 overall Most Valuable Player on the Daily World All-Parish Soccer Team. Campbell University is a Division I school located in North Carolina and Hughes hopes to make a contribution as a freshman next year for the Camels while majoring in physical therapy.

Opelousas, LA -Senior Zachary Thomas signed to play football in the fall for Louisiana College. Zachary hopes to make a contribution as a linebacker for the Wildcats while majoring in criminal justice.
