HISTORY MATTERS!

to help in wrapping up the study of The Hiding Place, a true story of Corrie tenBoom and her family's work helping Jews escape Hitler's extermination plans of this dark period in our world's history.

They visited the Buffalo Soldiers Museum, a museum honoring African American service throughout history, particularly in the westward expansion of the US. Following that, the students spent the night and the following morning went to the Houston Museum of Natural Science, where they enjoyed a "Night at the Museum," made slime, and went on a scavenger hunt through one of the exhibits.
 
Both students and parents, as well as school staff, thoroughly enjoyed our learning experience over this two-day trip!
