Federal Scholarship Tax Credit

Beginning in 2027, a new federal scholarship tax credit program will provide an opportunity for eligible taxpayers to support Christian education while receiving a federal tax credit.
WCA is partnering with the ACSI Children's Tuition Fund to help expand access to Christ-centered education. Through this program, eligible taxpayers can contribute to the Children's Tuition Fund, a Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) that uses these contributions to provide scholarships for students attending Christian schools.
Eligible taxpayers may receive a dollar-for-dollar federal tax credit of up to $1,700 annually. Married couples filing jointly may qualify for a combined credit of up to $3,400 when both spouses make eligible contributions.
Scholarship Eligibility
Scholarships are available to qualifying students from households with incomes up to 300% of the area median income. This broad eligibility threshold creates opportunities for many families to receive assistance with Christian school tuition, subject to program requirements and available scholarship funding.
How It Works
Unlike a traditional charitable deduction, a dollar for dollar tax credit directly reduces federal income tax liability, allowing taxpayers to redirect a portion of their federal taxes toward scholarships that make Christian education more accessible.
Learn More
WCA encourages families and supporters to explore this opportunity and consider how their tax dollars can help open doors for students seeking a Christ-centered education.
