Westminster Christian Academy is an independent, private, interdenominational Christian school with two K3-12 campuses in Acadiana. We serve over 950 students by demonstrating our core values of love, truth, and service. Hiring Process
 

Applicants must fully complete the application to be considered for employment. Teaching applicants should submit a college transcript.

 

Applicants who do not meet the requirements for their selected position will not be contacted for an interview. 

 

For those meeting the requirements, the hiring manager for the position will reach out to schedule an interview with the applicant. The applicant may also be asked to interview with another leader at the school. 

 

References are called for each applicant if the interview goes well and the hiring manager is considering the applicant for employment.

 

If the applicant is selected, the job offer is extended by HR, and if accepted, HR begins the onboarding process which includes fingerprinting, drug screening, new hire paperwork, and an employment agreement or contract.

Culture of Support

The faculty and staff participate in service learning efforts a minimum of twice a year to build teamwork internally, support our broader community, and set a positive example for our families. Faculty are honored during Faculty Appreciation week with meals provided by our families as well as annually at our board-hosted staff appreciation banquet.

Paid Time Off

Employees enjoy school holidays off as well as vacation for 12-month employees and Paid Time Off and Sick Leave for all faculty and staff.

Insurance

WCA offers group medical, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary life, accident, hospitalization, and critical illness plans for all employees averaging over 30 hours per week.

Retirement

WCA partners with Horace Mann to offer individual traditional and Roth IRAs for all employees

Flexible Spending Account

Participation in a Flexible Spending Account decreases employee taxable income and can be used for dependent care and employee portion of medical and dental expenses.

Professional Development and Continuing Education

Faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in professional development and WCA may financially support approved courses of study, workshops, and conferences.
