MIDDLE SCHOOL TRACK

Track practices will be on Wednesdays (3:30-4:30pm) and Fridays (1:30-3:00pm) until the end of the season. The track season ends April 1st. Track meets will be held on Saturdays at Northside High School in Lafayette (12:00 noon - 3:00pm).

WASHINGTON D.C. MEETING

There will be a FINAL mandatory Washington D.C. meeting on Friday, February 17th, at 2:00 pm in the Middle School Building. ALL CHAPAREONE MUST ATTEND. You must attend this final make-up meeting for your child to participate in the trip.

Mrs. Sonbuchner, the Opelousas Campus elementary principal, recently shared about the newly formed Elementary Student Council. "The Elementary Student Council members are all excited about being able to pour into the lives of our students here on the Opelousas Campus."

LOUISIANA COLLEGE WILDCAT

Opelousas, LA -Senior Zachary Thomas signed to play football in the fall for Louisiana College. Zachary hopes to make a contribution as a linebacker for the Wildcats while majoring in criminal justice.

RAGIN CAJUN FOOTBALL

Opelousas, LA -Ken Jones, III signed to play football in the fall for UL-Lafayette. Jones is a 5-1A Defensive MVP, 1st Team All Parish, 1st Team All-Acadiana linebacker, and an athlete that displays spiritual maturity and leads on and off the field. UL-Lafayette is a Division I school located in the heart of Lafayette, Louisiana. Ken hopes to make a contribution as a linebacker next year for the Ragin Cajuns while majoring in kinesiology.
