We believe that reading is an important part of each student’s development, and that books are incredible tools for introducing them to outside opinions, imaginative dreams, radical ideas, and complex issues.
WCA Middle School basketball, swimming, and track were recognized in the gymnasium on Wednesday, May 17th. Coach Standiford was happy to announce, "We get to celebrate some of the things that have happened this year in middle school athletics".

Congratulations to the WCA Elementary Track teams for placing 1st Overall in the Elementary Track Championship that was held Saturday, April 8th at Northside High.
Congratulations to Drew Knott for his 5th Place finish at the Louisiana National Geography Bee in Baton Rouge on Friday, March 31st. Drew’s strong performance was out of 75 students from all across Louisiana.
ATTENTION MIDDLE SCHOOL PARENTS- We always have a great celebration for our eighth graders--moms and dads are the secret to that success. If you want to be involved in the planning and execution of this event, there will be a Swing Dance meeting on Thursday, April 6, at 6:00 PM in the Middle School Building.
