Moving forward, however, we have designed an updated mascot to be more identifiable as a Crusader. Allow me to officially unveil our new mascot image. This image can be used in a variety of ways. We can use it as pictured above with the Crusader word mark utilized with it, we can use the upper body of the mascot, or we can use only the neck and head. This will provide options for use in any number of settings. For instance, when we need to have the mascot in a small form or one that can be less intricate, we can use the neck and head.
One of the things that I love about this mascot image is that it is absolutely unique to Westminster. There is no other mascot that is identical to this one. It is original artwork taken from our ideas and examples that represent a more uniquely Westminster Crusader look.
With this new mascot image, I look forward to using it in a variety of ways. To get us started, I now direct you to a site where new spirit shirts with the new mascot image can be ordered (see below). There is a t-shirt option as well as Nike Dri-Fit men's and women's polo shirts. Students, staff, parents, grandparents, and supporters can order these shirts over the next two weeks for delivery to each campus the week of March 20th. This shirt will be allowed as a spirit shirt option on Fridays through the remainder of the school year.
I hope you are as thrilled as I am about this new image that can represent Westminster in the realm of competitive activities. Let's get this image out there in the community so everyone else who sees it will also know it is associated with Westminster and our crusade for excellence in every area of our school.
