Mr. Barham referenced Matthew 6:19-21 which says, "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
Mr. Barham shared that storing up treasures here on earth is a life wasted and that your reward exists only in this present life and not in the everlasting. We can’t take these treasures with us. God offers us treasure that lasts forever, a relationship with Him here on earth and continues for eternity in heaven.
