In John 8:31-32 we read, So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, "If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. "
Mr. Sonbuchner reminded students that freedom requires abiding in God's Word. Only if you abide in the vine will you produce fruit — and only if you abide in His Word will you really be Christ's disciple.
He also spoke on John 17:3," And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. "
Consider all of the promises Christ holds out to us for the price of freedom. Christ releases us from our bondage of sin and allows us the ability to know truth and experience freedom. Freedom in Christ is true freedom.
