Computer Literacy [0.5 Credit] (Prerequisites: Typing proficiency)
Students in Webmastering begin the year learning about the basic features of an HTML web page. The primary focus of the class will be on web page creation using Dreamweaver. However Adobe Illustrator will be used to create logos, and Flash will be used to demonstrate how to create animated headers. Students will learn to create a website, create web pages and insert images and Flash files. They will learn to edit images for posting on a Website using Photoshop. Students will also learn about meta data and including information in the head section of an HTML page. The curriculum will also include using ordered and unordered lists, creating and editing tables, and using and creating cascading style sheets.
Students will also learn to use iWeb to create a personal web site that has their own home page, about me, blog pages, podcasts and picture pages.
