One-To-One

Modern life has seemingly become intrinsically attached to the computer, and WCA recognizing this trend has provided each senior, as well as the High School and Junior High School faculty with a macBook computer for classroom and home use. Much research was done before embarking on this project, and hopefully by learning from the mistakes of other similar programs we have avoided some of the pitfalls.

WCA by owning the computers and charging a fee for their use and maintenance, allows WCA to load the computers with the school's software. Having selected the macBook we benefit from Apple's reputation for building a uniform, solid product, as well as guaranteeing a standard operating system. There is a strong desire to provide a laptop for all high school students, but this first year will dictate the programs effectiveness as well as the school's ability to maintain this large and expensive program.
