Westminster football enjoyed its first ever district championship besting district contenders Mamou, Ville Platte and Port Barre. They continued their winning ways by soundly defeating Mansfield in the first round with a convincing 38-6 score. Their quest for a state championship ended in the regional finals where they met up with the 20 time state champion John Curtis. Even though the Crusaders fought valiently the speed and depth of John Curtis proved why they have such a successful program.
