An Important Announcement

Dear Westminster Family,

It is a great privilege to participate in the story God is writing through Westminster Christian Academy. It is an even greater honor to be a part of that story alongside faithful servants of God as seen on our campuses each day. Today, after dedicating more than 25 years of her life to WCA, Mrs. Merida Brooks announced to faculty and staff that she is beginning her last year at the helm of Westminster Christian Academy.

As a Board, my colleagues and I greet this day with many feelings. We are grateful to the Father for the gift of Mrs. Brooks' leadership as Superintendent for the last eight years, and we treasure her gifts of wisdom and discernment as she has guided our Living Stones. We are nostalgic as we imagine WCA's future without her, and we are joyful as we imagine all the Father has in store for her.

Thankfully, we are also at peace about our Father's plan for Westminster. With excellent enrollment numbers, a healthy financial condition, strong and deep leadership in our administration, and a dedicated and talented faculty and staff, WCA's future is bright and blessed, and we give thanks to the Father for His bountiful provision.

In the coming weeks, you will hear much more about the plans the Board has already developed for the year-long process of transitioning to new leadership. We will begin with a series of "Listening Meetings" in September that will provide input to the process from every constituency in the WCA family, and we hope you will plan to participate. We would greatly appreciate your prayers for wisdom, discernment, and obedience throughout this journey.
