Her gourmet plate consisted of butter, cinnamon and sugar toast and her garbage plate was literally trashed food out of the trash can. Her analogy was gourmet food (LIFE) =standing up for others and not being a part of foolishness and garbage (DEATH)=gossiping and giving into foolishness. The scripture references was Proverbs 12:18, "There is one whose rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings healing" and Proverbs 18:21 "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits."
